Top 3 Tips for a Quick Spring Cleaning

Whether you love or hate it, spring cleaning is a tradition we like to honor. We're sharing three super quick and easy tips to cleanse your space this spring!

1. Bring a load of clothes to Plato's Closet or a comparable reseller or thrift shop.

Go through your closet and take out anything you haven't worn in awhile. Next, try it all on. If anything isn't comfortable or flattering, you don't need it. If it's not your color, it's gotta go. If it's cute, but just not your style anymore, pack it up. You can make some quick cash by selling your gently used brand name clothes to places like Crossroads or Plato's Closet! If they aren't for the current season or aren't recent labels, consider donating to Goodwill, Salvation Army or one of the other amazing charities collecting clothing for those in need. You'll feel lighter in so many ways.

2. Don't toss it, just organize it.

You don't have to throw things away to successfully clean - just organize what you have. We love Origaudio's organizational products, like this portfolio that can fit several notebooks, an iPad, business cards, pens, highlighters and a slew of other items. It'll help you clean up your desk in no time! We also love their "Ruckman Roll," shown in the second photo below. It's perfect for organizing jewelry!

3. Straighten up your cleaning products.

The worst part about cleaning is getting started. We attribute this to the fact that most people keep all their cleaning products unorganized under the sink or in a random cabinet. Oh, and their brooms, mops and rags are in about 10 different unorganized locations, looking quite unclean. Before you start cleaning, take stock of your cleaning tools. When they're clean, orderly and easy to find, it makes the spring cleaning process way less daunting.
