ASI’s Counselor Magazine Unveils Best Places to Work List of 2018
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, March 29, 2018 – Counselor Magazine ranked Northwest company, College Hill Custom Threads, NO. 9 on its Best Places to Work List. The list honors the top industry workplaces through an exclusive survey and ranking.
Counselor Magazine touches briefly on the unique culture College Hill has created over the past few years amongst its staff. Providing a collaborative creative space and rewarding staff members to live healthy and happier lives has earned them a top spot on the list.
“We’re all young, ambitious, and hungry for self-improvement and growth both personally and professionally,” says President Tony Poston. “We enjoy each other as people and spend time outside work as friends. We’re always looking for ways to ‘do it better.’ That keeps things fresh and exciting.”
It’s no secret how company culture can be used to drive energy within a work environment, as well as shape an organization's capacity to thrive.
“When people feel comfortable in their daily environment the creativity and collaboration flows more fluently,” says Art Director Whitney Bell. “College Hill has a relaxed but empowering culture giving everyone the opportunity to bring something to the table and push the company forward.”
“College Hill offers a different company culture compared to my previous jobs,” says Account Coordinator Gabi Gebauer. “ Doors aren’t closed, there is always music playing and collaborative conversations being had. I feel more energetic and empowered to think outside of the box on a daily basis.”
College Hill offers more than a collaborative creative space. An employee bonus program rewards employees for extra curricular activities outside of work. For example, employees can participate in intramurals, personal wellness activities (i.e., yoga, barre, kickboxing classes) complete community service volunteer hours, and attend conferences to earn rewards. Another unique perk College Hill offers it's staff is a three year work anniversary gift in the form of a plane ticket to anywhere in the world. To name a few places selected, we've had staff travel to Tahiti, Thailand, Australia and Spain.
