WHY YOU NEED TO GET INVOLVED IN STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
How many times has a boomer reminded you that college will be the best four years of your life? My guess is about seven times a day for the last decade. Here’s the thing, though – they’re actually not wrong about this one. College has been the most fun I’ve ever had in my life – over 21 years! Here’s why: I joined student organizations that made my time here more than worthwhile.

Healthy Eating: College Edition
Written By Guest Blogger - Feb 13, 2019 8:00:00 AM

Healthy eating is likely a goal for every college student, but let’s be real: it’s not what every college student is actually doing.
Junk food is cheaper, easier and faster. It’s also just more accessible. I can’t even name the number of times I’ve come home from a long day on campus just to throw in some top ramen for the 12th night in a row. It’s a matter of convenience, really.
Well, since it’s still the start of a new year, I’m sure we’ve all heard (and probably already failed) the new year resolutions that all tend to revolve around eating healthy and working out.
I know they’ve probably already failed because, well, that was me and… hello, I had a whole pizza last night. Here’s the thing, though. You don’t have to embark on some crazy crash diet that asks you to cut out everything fun in life in order to eat healthy.

College Winter Term Blues Got You Down? Try Some Self Love.

The end of winter break often means the end of relaxation - savoring the holidays and all those home-cooked meals. It’s always a bit of a slap in the face to get back into the real world, especially when you're coming back to winter quarter.
Here in the Pacific Northwest, winter for college students tends to mean the least amount of fun you’ll have at school each year. The weather gets a little sad, people are less inclined to go out and school gets tougher because people sign up for harder classes.
As a senior at the University of Oregon, I’ve learned that in order to survive winter quarter, you absolutely have to take mental health days.
