College Hill's Experience at Casa Hogar
Members of our team spent the day outside, cleaning and "tuning up" the residents' bicycles, filling the tires with air and oiling the chains, then had the opportunity to play soccer with the kids, where they beat us in a lively and competitive game.
"Visiting Casa Hogar was a special and emotional day. We enjoyed getting to know the kids and learning more about their everyday lives," College Hill sales executive, Leann Grimm said. "The pride they take in all of their belongings is something to be [admired], and the kindness, respect and love they show each other is heartwarming."
College Hill staff also had the opportunity to take a tour of the grounds alongside Casa Hogar's Executive Director, Jayson, as well as meet some of the youth who live there.
"Volunteering at Casa Hogar was an emotional and fun experience. We learned about some of the youth there, and it was really eye-opening to hear about the struggles that some of them have been through," Poston said. "Casa Hogar is a special place where kids can feel safe and receive an education, like every child should be able to."

Calling all fellow college seniors: We're here to share some useful tips with our fellow seniors or incoming seniors on how to avoid catching the dreaded “senioritis." As we are moments away from finishing our adventure here at Washington State University, it can be easy to fall into the trap of procrastination. That's why it's essential to stay on top of your to-do list, prioritize the most important things and enjoy it while you still can.
1. Keep School at the Top of Your Priority ListThe only way you get to graduate is if you pass all of your classes. We recommend creating weekly study plans to map out the times you can dedicate to studying or doing homework. This way, you have already created your schedule and just need to follow it. We recommend using a planner or Google calendar and color-coding your classes.
2. Hold Each Other AccountableAnother helpful tool is to study with your friends or people in your classes to help hold each other accountable. We know that when we study alone, we finish earlier than we planned or start going on our phones because there is no one there to tell us otherwise. This can also make studying more enjoyable overall!
3. DestressFinding activities to destress will become crucial when you are slammed with a million things on your to-do list and need a method to cope. Something as simple as going for a walk to give your mind a break, exercising or blocking out social time in your schedule helps both your physical and mental health. This also helps your productivity because your best work is done when you are also feeling your best.
We also recommend romanticizing your day-to-day activities so you actually look forward to them. This can include grabbing your favorite coffee while you are out running errands, lighting a candle that you like when you are studying or wearing your favorite workout set when you go to the gym. When you make your to-do list enjoyable, you are more likely to get things done.
5. Stay Positive
Last but not least, staying positive will help you truly enjoy the last year of your college experience. Getting an education is a privilege, and we know we will miss the memories we have made when time runs out. These tips have helped us to stay productive and find a healthy work-life balance and we hope that we were able to help you, too.

When we found out that the Create + Cultivate conference was coming to the West Coast, we couldn't sign up fast enough. Create + Cultivate is an online platform and conference series for creative, entrepreneurial women. Their website provides podcasts, blogs and tips for everything from building a company team and promoting happiness in the workplace to improving your Instagram content and self-care. Here at College Hill, we create a great deal of designs intended for screen print on a variety of apparel. We wanted to share with our fellow graphic design enthusiasts - students, budding designers or just curious folks - a trick we use to reduce the number of colors used to make a more aesthetically pleasing design in print.
Halftones are the key.
Halftones are the perfect way to create the illusion of mid-colors and various shades without actually adding any colors to the design itself. A “halftone” is simply printing less than 100% of the color in a given area.

Share a little bit about your professional goals and see if they know of any companies or openings that may be a fit. You never know who has a friend or contact that has an opening for the exact type of position you're seeking. 1. Don't sleep in too late. This may sound counterproductive at first – if we’re trying to balance life and work, why limit sleep? Should we be up working all the time? Nope. You should be out living. Get a full 8 hour snooze in, but don’t keep silencing that alarm each day, especially on the weekends. You may feel tired at first, but you’ll revel in that extra time to shower, eat a well-rounded breakfast and get to take some personal “you” time. If you get your work or errands out of the way, you can make time to see friends, get in a solid workout or just stay in all night with a cup of tea and YouTube cat videos.

It's that time of year again! Every semester College Hill Custom Threads announces it’s annual Campus Rep Dream Destination Competition. Not familiar? The prize is in the name! College Hill Reps collected raffle tickets for every $1,000 they sold in College Hill custom apparel and products, as well as complete spontaneous tasks given by our Rep Program advisor. Orders like Bid Day, Date Dashes, Parent's Weekend, Retreats etc, landed the reps raffle tickets all semester long. The raffle tickets automatically enter each rep in the drawing to win a flight to anywhere in the world! The more raffle tickets they collect throughout the semester, the better the odds!
